Welcome to the "Journées de Chimie Organique" - JCO 2014 - in their 6^th edition. This event is dedicated to the community of chemists Tunisians and foreigners during which groups of researchers can present their recent and innovative work in various fields of chemistry related to Organic Chemistry .

Established as a tradition, we choose again the beautiful region of Hammamet to meet together. We hope that this event will also be an opportunity to boost links between young and senior researchers from academic and industry, and help build relationships in the community of chemists Tunisians and foreigners.

JCO 2014 aims to:

• Encourage linking researchers and laboratories to maintain a high level of basic research and develop effective technology transfer.

• Stimulate reflections on the development of organic chemistry and the problems related to the environment that may result.

• Provide an opportunity for young researchers to express, present and discuss the results of their research.

The sixth Symposium of the "Journées de Chimie Organique" will feature 12 plenary and invited lectures presented by distinguished speakers.
