Enantioselective synthesis of β-hydroxyamides via asymmetric hydrogenation of β-ketoamides using chiral Ru(II)-catalysts
Written by sctunisie no commentsAsymmetric hydrogenation of β-ketoamides 1a-i using chiral Ru(II)-catalysts with BINAP, MeO-BIPHEP, SYNPHOS and DIFLUORPHOS as atropisomeric ligands leads to the corresponding β-hydroxyamides 2a-i with good chemical yields (75% to 95%) and high enantioselectivities (73% to 99%) under 5 to 10 bar of hydrogen pressure.
