Determination of lithium in natural brines: Removing of interfering ions

Written by sctunisie no comments

A study on solubility of oceanic salts, based on the modification of aqueous solution, using different organic solvents was presented. Isopropyl alcohol as a reactive is chosed to decrease the interfering ions from brines. The best conditions for determination of lithium were established. The conditions for using this solvent in order to find all lithium in final solution was explained.

A method for fighting against chemical plugging in distributors of irrigating water used in the Cap Bon region

Written by sctunisie no comments

Chemical plugging by scale precipitation is a major problem with localised irrigation techniques due to the precipitation of the calcium carbonate. In the case of a surface well water, localised in the Cap Bon region, tow methods were applied to evaluate the efficiency of tow phosphorus inhibitors. This study was done by «chronoelectrogravimetrie» and «the method of the critical pH».
